Let's count the days, Shall we?

It's days since I last posted a blog.
Reason: School = Stressful!
I read that the last time I posted was July 4 and it's now July 13.
But there's more to that 9 day blog-less gap.

I just came back from an immersion/retreat trip to Bataan for 5 days.
So it was 5 days, family-less, internet-less, urban life-less.
I can tell you that I was really homesick. I was not used to being away from my family for more than a day. Seriously.

It was a 3 and a half hour trip from SPCP to Bagac, Bataan. I had to wake up 4:45am just to shower up, finalize my list of things to bring, eat breakfast and go to school. By 5:15 am, I was in school. We departed the school using the school's big green bus. (Room 2 used the red bus)
The trip was really nerve-wracking for me, because I forgot to buy Bonamine (the pill that would prevent one from being car-sick), I was not used to long car rides, and we had little space on the seats. I ended up being awake the whole ride because I was really feeling dizzy and I was really uncomfortable with any position I made.

Arriving at La Masia Resort (Yes, that's the name), we all got down at once to see our dorm. The kuyas then brought all our bags down. (To tell you, I had a total of 4 bags. 1 duffel bag, 1 smaller duffel bag, 1 paper bag, and 1 small backpack - for everyday use, and I had a sleeping bag.)
I thought we were still going to use the same bus to travel to the places where we had our scheduled activities, so I left my "Humayo't Ihayag" song that was placed in a white cartolina for the Catechism class for Grade 4. Bummer. I slept 1 am because of that cartolina and I left it in the bus which left for Manila. :((

We ate snacks when we arrived. Abby and I were sitted in a bench that had a high landscape so when you drop something, you would have to get it using the stairs and go back up again.
Speaking of dropping something, Abby dropped her slippers so I had to get it because it would be awful of her to go down with only one slipper in hand. I volunteered to go downstairs to walk to the grassy part where slippers fell. While walking, BAM! I slid down a mud pile! It was very embarrassing! All of my classmates who were still there, saw me. But no worries, I was able to get Abby's slipper but then I had to dress up to a new pair of jogging pants. Good thing I had a lot!

We had our teaching the first day. I belonged to the group that is supposed to teach 4th grade. Since we only had 6 groups (1 each per grade level) we forgot about the preschool students. I volunteered anyway to go to the preschool group. The dang cartolina I prepared for the 4th grade students was left in our bus and it went to Manila :|
It was fun teaching them. They already knew about the song "Low" so we let them dance it. Being a dancer myself, I volunteered to dance with them. They followed immediately. They were good at picking up anything!

When it was our class' dismissal (it was early because these were preschool students.) Mich and I hung out at their "canteen" and then went outside. Then it was the other student's recess. We had something like a "showdown" among students from our side and students that were being taught. I have to admit, they got moves!

following days to follow :)
